SmartTrigger™ Digital
Power-Tracking Controller

SmartTrigger™ -
Overview
The SmartTrigger™ by
TS Engineering is an intelligent controller for electromagnetically
driven vibratory feeder systems. Unlike traditional SCR – or
triac-based controllers, the SmartTrigger™ features
an on-board computer that continuously monitors line voltage
fluctuations, instantly altering the trigger timing of the output
to compensate. The result is superior stability and control of
feeder motion, particularly in areas where line voltage levels
tend to vary greatly due to the operation of heavy machinery.
SmartTrigger™ Features:
-
Range of selectable output
frequencies (30, 40, 60 and 120 Hz on a 60 Hz source line)
covers most standard feeders.
-
Two modes of switching Operate/Hold
states, one with selectable timer delays for flexibility in
both feeder and hopper installations.
-
Operational status out signal
for interlocking/slaving multiple units.
-
Operator-selectable output
phase to balance line utilization.
-
Vibration intensity is maintained
over a wide range of line voltage levels.
-
TTL-level in and out signal
connections enable multiple units to be interlocked for a unified
in-line operation.
-
High current capability (15
Amps) to drive even very large feeders.
SmartTrigger™ Flexibility:
-
Easy interfacing to a photocell
or proximity switch.
-
Adjustable full-scale vibration
intensity to prevent accidental overdriving of smaller equipment.
-
Also available without enclosure
for OEM panel mount applications.
-
CE version available.

700 - Basic vibratory
control with intelligent line fluctuation compensation.
This control is an excellent low-cost solution ideally
suited for inline linear feeders and storage hoppers. This control family is typically used on loads that
run continuously, but can be demand cycled by a PLC machine
control or parts sensor, which has its own built-in time
delays and power supply.

1400 - The ST-1400
Series of Controls are used to operate vibratory bowls
with part sensing, and storage hoppers fitted with electronic
bowl level detectors. The demand cycling of the bowl
or hopper is controlled by an external input signal processed
through the Remote Hold and time delay settings of the
unit if selected. The units are operational in both Open
Loop and Closed Loop (sensor option) mode.

1900 - The ST-1900
Series of Controls are used to operate vibratory bowls
with part sensing, and storage hoppers fitted with electronic
bowl level detectors. The 10 to 24 Vdc adjustable power
supply and sensor time delays are provided by the control.
The demand cycling of the bowl or hopper is controlled
by the sensor’s output signal processed through
the time delay settings of the unit if selected. The
units are operational in both Open Loop and Closed Loop
(sensor option) mode.

Dual
Units - Dual units
are customized with any combination of 700, 1400 or 1900
circuit sections. These sections may be internally interlocked
using the operate/hold inputs and outputs on these units.
A typical application is to run a feeder bowl and an
inline tray. One or two motion sensor kits may be purchased
with this unit. Dual units must be either 120 VAC or
240 VAC, but cannot contain both a 120 VAC and a 240
VAC section.

Triple
Units - Triple units
are customized with any combination of 700, 1400 or 1900
circuit sections. These sections may be internally interlocked
using the operate/hold inputs and outputs on these units.
A typical application is to run a feeder bowl, an inline
tray, and a hopper. One, two or three motion sensor kits
may be purchased with this unit. Triple units must be
either 120 VAC or 240 VAC, but cannot contain both a
120 VAC and a 240 VAC section.
