Product Overview

* Note: All TS Engineering controllers use intelligent power-line monitoring and output correction even at the entry level. This differentiates our products from simple "dimmer" type controllers or costly variable transformers traditionally used in the industry.

SmartTrigger Overview

Entry Level

SimpleTrigger ST-700 - Basic vibratory control with intelligent line fluctuation compensation. This control is an excellent low-cost solution ideally suited for inline linear feeders and storage hoppers. . This control family is typically used on loads that run continuously, but can be demand cycled by a PLC machine control or parts sensor, which has its own built-in time delays and power supply.

Intermediate Level

SmartTrigger ST-1400 - The ST-1400 Series of Controls are used to operate vibratory bowls with part sensing, and storage hoppers fitted with electronic bowl level detectors. The demand cycling of the bowl or hopper is controlled by an external input signal processed through the Remote Hold and time delay settings of the unit if selected. The units are operational in both Open Loop and Closed Loop (sensor option) mode.
SmartTrigger ST-1900 - The ST-1900 Series of Controls are used to operate vibratory bowls with part sensing, and storage hoppers fitted with electronic bowl level detectors. The 10 to 24 Vdc adjustable power supply and sensor time delays are provided by the control. The demand cycling of the bowl or hopper is controlled by the sensor’s output signal processed through the time delay settings of the unit if selected. The units are operational in both Open Loop and Closed Loop (sensor option) mode.

High Level

ATAC - The ATAC, Active Tuning Amplitude Controller, is a flexible, all digital controller designed to maximize the performance of vibratory feeders. In its standard mode of operation the ATAC controller will maintain a feeder’s vibration intensity at any value specified by the user (Amplitude Control). In addition, the controller will continually search for the natural frequency of the feeder (resonance) and excite it at that frequency (Active Tuning). Together, Active Tuning and Amplitude Control of the ATAC yield:
· Consistent feeder performance over a wide range of loading conditions.
· Freedom to build and operate a feeder with any natural frequency from 40 Hz to 160 Hz.
· Feeders can operate from 50 Hz (Europe) or 60 Hz (North America) supply power without modifying the feeder springs or mass.
· Minimum coil current, Minimum coil heating, Minimum supply current, Minimum power consumption, Power factor correction.
· Fault tolerance (feeders with broken springs can still operate, eliminating the need for unscheduled maintenance).
· Many feeders can be placed on the same electrical circuit without fear of circuit overload.
The ATAC Controller is a true closed loop control system. There are two components to the ATAC Control System, the Motion Sensor and the ATAC Controller.

Complete Solution

SmartSystem - The SmartSystem is really an ATAC and two SmartTriggers all it one box! This eliminates external wiring to interconnect the devices as master/slave, and requires on one power outlet.

Dual Units - Dual units are customized with any combination of 700, 1400 or 1900 circuit sections. These sections may be internally interlocked using the operate/hold inputs and outputs on these units. A typical application is to run a feeder bowl and an inline tray. One or two motion sensor kits may be purchased with this unit. Dual units must be either 120 VAC or 240 VAC, but cannot contain both a 120 VAC and a 240 VAC section.
Triple Units - Triple units are customized with any combination of 700, 1400 or 1900 circuit sections. These sections may be internally interlocked using the operate/hold inputs and outputs on these units. A typical application is to run a feeder bowl, an inline tray, and a hopper. One, two or three motion sensor kits may be purchased with this unit. Triple units must be either 120 VAC or 240 VAC, but cannot contain both a 120 VAC and a 240 VAC section.

Accessories

Motion Sensors - Motion sensors provide the best control possible by giving your system true closed-loop control. With a motion sensor, your equipment will run at constant speed regardless of power-line fluctuations, parts loading, or solar flares.
Power Supplies - To power up one or more photo eyes or other sensors, add a power supply board to your order. The power supply can be jumpered to supply either 12VDC or 24VDC with either 120VAC or 240VAC input.
Photo Sensor Interconnect Board - This board provides power supply hookups and PNP or NPN hookups to your sensor and can control the operate/hold to any of our controllers with no delay, on delay, or off delay, with either positive or negative logic.
